Sobriety Vow

I got drunk last night. Finally released after my stint in jail recently after the waitress incident. I didn't plan to get drunk. I just had a few too many and forgot myself

The chapter today says "People's desires make them give in to immoral ways. They get drunk, carry on at wild parties, and do other evil things as well. I told you before, and I am telling you again: No one who does these things will share in the blessings of God's kingdom."

So God obviously knew I'd get drunk. I feel like it's not such a bad sin so don't really matter. But he has sent this public sign today to make me see how serious it is

Especially since I'm meant to be a role model for everyone now and a dad. It won't do to carry on being a drunk

It's time to grow up. So I'm gonna vow now never to get drunk again. Just one drink with a meal is my standard limit. Three at a wedding like the wedding at Cana. My wild drunken party days are now officially over
